LEIGH RU had a disappointing end to their league campaign as they let it slip at Northwich.
Having led for most of the match, they ended on the defensive as the home side clawed their way back for a 21-21 draw with two penalties.
Leigh began badly, a try down after five minutes, but they recovered when full-back Lee blasted in for a try after Jim Bridge had been held short.
Lee hit a penalty, then Bridge fed Hudspith for the side's second try, Lee again on target.
Northwich bounced back but another Lee penalty had Leigh comfortably ahead at the break.
He added another three points in the second half. But it proved an uphill struggle as the home side pounded them amid failure to clear the line.
