MARTINE McCutcheon has had the perfect start to her new single 'Perfect Moment' now two weeks at number one. Will Gerri Halliwell do the same - I hope so. If you've not heard her single yet then keep listening to Radio City 'cos were playing it.
Here's the weekly review on new tunes due for release in the Starbeat Record Review.
TQ - Bye Bye Baby His last single 'Westside' spent three weeks in the top ten and almost instantly made him a big star. His second single is a great follow-up. Similar kind of sound with the smooth R&B feel, and comes from his current album 'They Never Saw Me Coming'
Basement Jaxx - Red Alert A new entry into the North West top 40 on Saturday. Brilliant club tune, another one with that funky 70s feel. Not a new band to the scene - they've had a couple of minor hits, but I think this will be their biggest to date. Came out on Monday.
911 - Private Number Ex Radio City dancers Spike and Jimmy, and Lee get together again for another pop tastic tune. This one is a cover of the William Bell and Joey Clay classic which was out in 1968. This single also features an unknown singer called Natalie Jordan. Not signed to a record company at the moment, but will be soon.
