WHAT has happened to the price of bus fares? Recently I was one of the many unfortunates made redundant from United Glass.
The wife and I went out for a night in the town centre to give us a break from staying in, we decided to get the bus into town from Windle to hopefully save us some money. Bad move!
We paid 78 pence each into Duke Street totalling £1.56p in a dirty old rattly, smelly bus we decided to come home with a local taxi firm and it cost us £1.60p in a nice, clean smelling and very comfortable Cavalier.
Bus company owners please think again about your prices, you are supplying basic transport not limousines.
Steve Grundy.
