A MUGGER stabbed a 14-years-old Leigh boy while he was tying his shoelaces on Monday.
The attacker struck at 7.25am in Milton Street.
Police said that while the lad was bent over a youth came up behind him and thrust a knife into his arm leaving a two inch wound.
As the boy reacted his wallet fell from his pocket, his assailant picked it up and ran off leaving his victim in distress.
The wallet contained £15 and personal items.
Police are seeking a white male described as 5ft 10in tall, aged 15-16, of slim build with short, dark hair shaven at the sides.
He was wearing a black jacket with yellow patches on the shoulders and elbows.
