VEHICLES with a wide wheel base, such as lorries, large cars and buses, can straddle the new traffic calming humps on Parkhills Road and Wellington Road, Bury. And this is understandable in the case of emergency vehicles.

However, for car users like myself there is a real danger from vehicles coming from the opposite direction. Many motorists try to avoid the humps by driving around them but I feel that the result could be a lot of accidents.
