MUSLIMS in Blackburn criticised the town's planned Asian art gallery, saying it would do more harm than good for their community.
They called for a rethink by planners and said cash earmarked for the project could be better spent elsewhere. Ismail Lorgat of the Blackburn Action Committee on Islamic Affairs said the planned section on south Asian art at Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery could not be representative of the art of Muslims, who make up the majority of Blackburn's ethnic community.
