THE top two teams both lost this week, Sunnybank remain at the top but their lead is now just one point, they went down 10-4 at last season's champions St Andrew's. Simon Willcocks won 21-5 for St Andrew's, with Phil Storey winning 21-15 for the leaders.
Darwen Subs lost 8-6 at home to Colne Cricket Club. Roy Pickup won 21-14 for Subs with Alan Handford winning 21-11 for Colne. Globe remain in third place after their 8-6 home win over Edgworth, Bill Finn winning 21-10. Mike Williams won 21-11 for Edgworth.
Haslingden move one place following their 10-4 win at Rishton Con, Martin Opie winning 21-6, Roy Rigby won 21-16 for Rishton Con. Great Harwood move up the table after their 12-2 away victory at Nelson, Malcolm Wensley winning 21-5, Kevin Bond won 21-11 for the home side.
Northfield maintained their mid table position after their 10-4 home win over Greenhill, Paul Lomax winning 21-4, David Hoyle won 21-4 for Greenhill. Turton recorded their first win of the season at Farington Con, they had a narrow 8-6 win with John Haslam winning 21-5, John Roberts and Graham Duckworth both recorded 21-12 home wins. St Stephen's also broke their duck with a narrow 8-6 home win over East Lancs, Barry Hamer winning 21-8, Dave Fryer won 21-12 for the visitors.
