MY mother, who is 90 on May 22, was born Elizabeth Moore at 5, Maitland Street, Darwen, but lived in Tower Street afterwards and went to St John's School before working at India Mill until about 1930, when she came to Lancaster and where she has lived ever since.
She would like to hear from anyone who was at school with her or was her friend.
Also, she would like to hear from any relatives from the marriage of Margaret Moore and Robert Corless, who lived on William Street during the First World War. Their children were Robert, Charles, Elizabeth and Margaret and possibly more.
Her Aunt Betsy (ne Isherwood) lived on Gillibrand Street and died about 1926. When she was widowed, she lived there with a family until she died. Mother can't remember what Aunty Betsy's married name was, but her husband's christian name was Thomas.
