BAINES High School, Poulton-le-Fylde, took advantage of a partnership between Wyre Borough Council and British Aerospace at Warton recently.
By joining forces the pair aim to provide basic health and safety training to pupils about to embark on work experience and is already proving extremely popular with schools across the borough.
This year almost every Year 10 pupil will be able to benefit from the training, involving a talk, video and quiz, certificates and prizes.
Baines High School careers officer Irene Burtonwood said: "Health and safety training is vital preparation for work experience.
"The talks have been extremely well received by our students and their participation in the quiz has helped to demonstrate and further their knowledge of the issues involved."
Rodger Wightman, Wyre's environmental health officer, said: "We are delighted with the success of the scheme to date and look forward to ensuring more students reap the benefits."
