WITH regard to the letter in Journal Mailbox about Chowbent School (April 15). The main objections of the residents to the proposed site of the school, off Douglas Road, is the proximity to houses and access problems, none of which would be answered by the suggested compromise.
Indeed, extra use would make matters worse, and if the writer had studied the proposal he would see that the school is to be "shoe horned" in to a plot hardly big enough to accommodate the school let alone more facilities.
By all means let us compromise if the school is needed, it could be built at the Wesley Street end of the field, or better still on the vacant land to the rear of Chanters Farm House.
