YOUNG gymnasts from the area performed well at the North West Schools Championships.
Among many winners were Jamie Morris and Melissa Garndner who came first in mixed pairs and doubling his success Jamie Morris also came first with his partner Philip Dalton. Akllthese three attend Westgate School. Competing in the sixes competition were Michelle Simm, Kirsty Riley, Katie Webster, Lucy Telford, Sarah Luke and Jodi Kershaw who were representing Lancaster Girls' Grammar school came second. Also children from Marsh County Primary School and Heysham High took part part in this tough competition. Many of these were competing for the first time and performed very well.
