I WISH everyone could see the rubbish and filth around the bottom flats of Scorton Avenue, Layton.
The council don't seem to care because it is away from the town centre, but Scorton Avenue is now becoming a slum.
The tenants have complained to the council and environmental health, but there has still been no clean-up.
There are bags of rubbish under the stairs of the flats and some are only a couple of yards from one tenant's door. The next thing will be a plague of rats or some disease.
I think the council's motto of progress is more like regress.
Tenant, Scorton Avenue, Layton.
