CHILD porn Internet horrors should be blacked out says MEP Terry Wynn.
The Merseyside East and Wigan member has backed crucial European Parliament legislation passed in Strasbourg.
He said: "Access to the Internet can provide many benefits, but it is an extremely difficult thing to police. There are no border controls on the Internet."
The Euro measures build on the work done at the UNESCO Conference on the sexual exploitation of children.
Recommendations include closer co-operation between national law enforcement authorities and an obligation to inform Europe of any information on child pornography ensuring effecting 24 hour information exchange on an issue which doesn't recognise national boundaries.
Mr Wynn said: "This is an issue which should be of concern to us all. Child pornography is morally unacceptable and on the Internet, where it is difficult to monitor, we must all be on our guard.
"My Labour colleagues and I pledge to make the effort to get tighter controls on this issue. Co-operation with other EU countries will be vital."
