A LEIGH group is again joining a human chain of love in a bid to save babies' lives.
The Leigh branch of SPUC (The Society for the Protection of Unborn Children) will link up with fellow supporters from all over the country on Saturday, April 24.
An annual event, the protest is expected to begin at the House of Commons and spread throughout the UK.
The Leigh group's silent vigil will take place on Spinning Jenny Way between 11am and 1pm.
Leigh secretary, Mary Lavelle, said: "Volunteers will carry posters, which we hope will make passing drivers think about the abortion issue, and consider the fact that babies are continuing to be aborted for the most trivial reasons.
"Anyone who is concerned about abortion and wishes to see a tightening of the law, or anyone who feels compassion towards these babies, should spare a few minutes on Saturday and stand with us.
"We will be praying that changes will come. The more volunteers the better to help us get the message across that there are better ways to deal with unplanned pregnancy with real care for the mother, if only we can get through the abortion mentality."
SPUC meets at St Joseph's Sodality Club, Chapel Street, on the last Wednesday of every month at 8pm Everyone is welcome.
