THE countdown to the Millennium has started for the St Helens and Knowsley Hospice Lottery which is hoping to recruit 2,000 new members in time for the year 2,000.
Meanwhile, the latest £2,000 first prize winner in the weekly draw was Mrs C. Kerr of Clock Face. Other major prizes winners were Dr V. Giles of Rainhill (£200); Mrs J. Makin from Newtown (£125); Mrs E. Keenan of Eccleston (£75); and Mr H. Tyrrell from Huyton with Roby (£50). A further 30 members won £10 and 50 more won £5.
