BURY-based solicitors Butcher and Barlow are offering a free new service to the public.
Each Tuesday, solicitors Martine Swinscoe and Anthony Higham will be running a free "drop-in surgery" from 5pm to 6.30pm.
They are hoping that people with a legal problem or query will call in without an appointment to get free and confidential guidance on what the options are, an assessment of the case's chances of success and details of Legal Aid entitlement.
Martine and Anthony are successful "all rounders" and can give preliminary advice on any legal matter which local people might wish to bring to them.
Butcher and Barlow, based in Bank Street, is an old established family firm of lawyers.
