AN 82-year-old woman had her handbag snatched as she walked along a street in broad daylight.

The pensioner was walking along Radley Street, Thatto Heath, at about 10.10am on Saturday, April 17 - after getting off a bus in nearby Dorothy Street - when a man ran up from behind her and stole the bag containing about £15 in cash.

The robber is described as white, in his early 20s with a slim build and 5ft 8ins/5ft 9in tall. He was wearing a dark-coloured baseball cap back to front and a light-coloured tracksuit.
