THE St Helens division of the St John Ambulance Brigade is looking for new volunteers to help curb a national shortage of members at the organisation.
A national recruitment campaign has been launched and Leah Crowe, the divisional superintendent over the St Helens area, told the Star: "Numbers are falling and we are concerned that it will get to the state where we will have no choice but to have to refuse first aid cover for events like Saints games through lack of personnel."
If anyone would like to volunteer their services, they should contact the National Recruitment hot-line on 0870 1290 900. If you would like more details on the St Helens branch, contact Leah on 812804.
