FIVE directors from a Blackburn firm suffered the pain of having their legs waxed to raise money for the Kosovo crisis.
The plucky five are all part of the management team at Fenner Power Transmission UK Ltd, Whitebirk Industrial Estate, Philips Road, Blackburn.
Chris Garety, managing director, Peter Timbrell, head of logistics, Tom Duncan, sales director, John Weston, hydraulics director and George Tillier, marketing director, were sponsored £5-a-strip to have the bottom half of their legs waxed at the Wharf Inn, Eanam, Blackburn.
The firm is hoping to rake in £1,000 and Agnes Parkinson, administration supervisor, says they have raised nearly £500 so far.
She said: "The cost of the wax was paid for by the company and all the money we raise will go to Kosovo."
Michael Howell, who owns the firm, has pledged to donate 20 per cent of the total raised to boost the funds.
