Letter
I AM writing because I think more bands should be mentioned in your paper.
Not necessarily adult bands but young ones as well. I am 15 and live in Darwen and I know there are a lot of young bands around, including my own.
Please could you look around more for new faces.
DANIEL WHITEHEAD, St John's Avenue, Darwen.
PAUL BARRY replies: Recently we have worked hard to improve Pulse and these pages are concentrating on artists and bands from East Lancashire more than ever before.
We have printed stories about groups including Element, Earl, Whatever, Cola Moon and Scapegoat - all of which have members under 18.
We have heard rumours on the music scene that Pulse favours certain bands. This is not true. But it is much easier for us to write about bands who keep in touch regularly. If anyone out there is in a group which plays live, original material, please write to me, or send an e-mail.
Don't forget to include details of the line-up, complete with ages, addresses, gig dates and a contact phone number.
