I AM attempting to build up a complete collection of thimbles from all 18 major County Cricket clubs, which I intend to present to my cricket-mad mother on her 70th birthday.
To this end, I have sent a letter to the headquarters of each club, and have received replies from most of them. Unfortunately, Lancashire CCC informed me that this season they have not produced a thimble, but they have done one in the past.
Have any of readers a spare Lancashire CCC thimble hidden away which they could, for a reasonable price, let me have to help complete the collection?
Maybe someone has seen one hiding in the corner of a local charity shop, or they have been given one as a present but already had one and the spare one is stuffed away in the back of a cupboard or drawer somewhere in their homes.
If anyone can be of help could they please write to me at the address below, and I will make arrangements for payment, including of course postage and packaging.
