PUTTING mini-roundabouts at junctions has been the key to solving the problem of traffic flow at many locations.
One place devoid of this solution is at the junction between Haslingden Road and Old Bank Lane, outside Queen's Park Hospital. At peak times, traffic is congested along Old Bank Lane.
A mini-roundabout there would no doubt alleviate the problem of standing traffic and would also reduce the speed of traffic approaching this blind bend.
