I WAS interested to read the article (LET, April 17) about the Legs O' Man and The County public houses in Darwen Street, Blackburn. I vaguely remember pulling down the building with demolition firm Walter Sears and Co.
About 22 years ago, I stood in the cellar that was pictured, removing the old stone flags, before dismantling the building bit by bit until it was just a shell that the bulldozer would raze to the ground.
Thanks for bringing back such good old early memories.
