FUND-RAISERS are urged to "get on their bikes" to help boost the coffers of a local charity.
Brierfield and Reedley Rotary Club is asking anyone with a bicycle to take part in a sponsored bike ride on June 13 in aid of Hospice Care for Burnley and Pendle.
The 25-mile route will start and finish at Byron Road Community Centre, Colne. The route follows the A6068 over the Moss to Crosshills, Kildwick, along Skipton by-pass, Thornton-in-Craven and back to Colne.
The course is regularly used for club time trial racing but organisers of the fund-raising event stressed it was not a race and the day will be suitable for all cyclists.
Refreshments will be provided en route and a free lunch will be put on after the event at the Belvedere and Calder Vale Sports Club, Reedley.
Sponsorship cards are available from Pendleside Hospice, Colne Road, Reedley, or Frank Chadwick on 01282 709780.
