A SECURITY firm has tied up a £1 million investment.
Church-based Security Closures has secured the funding through Nat West to help it with an ambitious expansion programme.
The firm provides shutter protection for empty properties, with major customers including local authorities, housing associations, breweries and property companies.
The specialist shutters provide security against break-ins but allow air and light to pass through, which means renovation work can be carried out inside properties without having to remove the shutters
The firm was founded four years ago by Maurice Brooks and now employs 38 people across six depots.
"This investment will allow us to provide a wider range of service and secure future contracts. As our market is expanding we are excited and optimistic for the future," said Mr Brooks.
The investment went ahead after Mr Brooks approached bankers Nat West, who referred him to their investment arm.
"The business is well managed and growth has been achieved through high standards of product and service," said Angela Marron, of Nat West Development Capital. "We are delighted to be able to help Maurice and his team."
