CHRIS HALL sparked with bat and ball as Leigh swept to double success.
On Saturday they consolidated their position as group leaders in the Liverpool Competition Cup with a 17-run victory over new boys Fleetwood Hesketh.
On Sunday they beat Wallasey in the National Club Cup, setting up a Round 2 showdown with Alderley Edge.
And Hall was at the heart of both wins.
His devastating 4-10 spell against Fleetwood followed a hard-fought 40 from 70 balls; that knock helped Leigh to 141-9, recovering well from a stumbling 45-5. The target was just too much with both Mike Holden and Andy Mullaney chipping in with two wickets apiece.
Against Wallasey the early order batting returned to form, Steve Bailey dominating with the bat, Dave Dove striking three sixes in a belligerent 78, Hall hitting 35, Rob Clews and Danny Carty delivering some late lusty blows for 213-6.
Tight bowling then had the opposition in trouble with Dave Potter in super form, backed up by great catches from Andy Batterley, Steve Duxbury, Tim McKiernan and Bailey.
