VOLUNTEERS in Ribble Valley are to get a boost from a new project.
The first step of the scheme will be to carry out an audit of the voluntary and community organisations working in the Ribble Valley.
Then training, resources and hands-on support will be made available to the groups.
The scheme is being organised by a new partnership of the Trinity Centre Development Trust, Hyndburn and Ribble Valley Council for Voluntary Service and Ribble Valley Council.
It has attracted £49,000 in grants from the European Social Fund plus match funding from Ribble Valley Council, Lancashire County Council, the Trinity Centre and the CVS.
The scheme was launched at a meeting at the Trinity Centre in Wesleyan Row, Clitheroe, attended by Lancashire MEP Mark Hendrick.
