DEEPDALE'S welcome to the Wellfield Winners was positively encouraging this week.
Pupils from Wellfield High School were taking part in a special programme of personal development, organised by Preston-based firm Advance Training and Development, to urge them to think about their futures in a positive manner.
The pilot course has been sponsored by Lancashire Constabulary and Lancashire Partnership Against Crime (Lanpac). Reebok supplied the children with tracksuits and Heathcotes Restaurant, at Deepdale, supplied snacks and meals throughout the course.
Darren Gilling of Advanced Training and Development, said: "We are just showing it is not all doom and gloom out there."
