DOZENS of pro-life campaigners gathered in London Road, Preston, as part of a nationwide demonstration.
The event, organised by the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC), took place in 87 towns and cities in the UK on Saturday afternoon. Two more will take place this Saturday, May 1.
Campaigners of all ages formed human chains along main roads, in a silent vigil to commemorate 31 years of legalised abortion.
Participants also remembered the deaths of more than five million babies destroyed since the 1967 Abortion Act was passed.
In Preston, demonstrators held banners with the statements 'Abortion Kills Children' and 'Abortion Hurts Women and Kills Children.'
