A 14-YEAR-old schoolgirl was subjected to a terrifying attack as she walked through Deepdale on Sunday at around 9.20pm.
A stranger began talking to her as she walked down Skeffington Road, towards Ribbleton Avenue, before he pounced on her and dragged her onto railway lines.
He made 'indecent' suggestions and indecently assaulted her.
Detective Constable Eric Dean said: "The girl has been left very badly shaken and upset by the whole experience but is thankfully unharmed.
"The man we would like to talk to in connection with the incident is described as white, 20, 5ft 7ins, clean shaven, with short, dark brown hair and a local accent.
"He was wearing a grey fleece top, blue jeans and had a gold sovereign ring on his left hand."
"At the moment we are not linking the case to the two assaults in the Leyland area last week."
