PENSIONERS at Astley have launched an appeal to 'raise the roof'!
The roof at the Pensioners' Centre in Manchester Road is raining-in and they need to raise £5,000 for repairs.
The centre is used by the popular Astley Luncheon Club, who are also looking for new members.
"We are looking to raise the £5,000 but hope there may be a benefactor who can help us out," said organiser Joan Elsby.
Donations can be sent to The Secretary, Astley Pensioners, Pensioners' Centre, Manchester Road, Astley.
