THOUSANDS of people across the North West are set to take part in Play Tennis 99 as Britain's biggest free tennis promotion gets into full swing.
The promotion, which offers free tennis under expert tuition at more than 100 tennis venues across the North West, will be launched on Friday, May 7 at Wigan Tennis Centre by Coronation Street star William Roache, who plays Ken Barlow in the popular soap.
This launch will be one of nine taking place throughout Britain as part of the promotion between May 1-8 at more than 1,100 tennis clubs, indoor centres and schools.
People throughout the North West can find their nearest Play Tennis 99 centre by calling the hotline 0930 153040 (calls cost 50p per minute) or visiting the LTA web site: www.lta.org.uk.
