BERNADETTE Hargreaves of Butlers, won the Dorothy Ball Trophy when she beat Jacqueline Croasdale (Roe Lee) 21-13 in the final after a mammoth seven hours of competition.
Jacqueline had beaten Edna French (Scapa) 21-17 in the semi-final, while winner Bernadette beat Teresa Earnshaw (Feniscowles) 21-7 in her semi.
Winner for the past two years Lilian Slinger did well to reach the quarter-finals playing off a minus-five mark, but was eventually beaten by Jacqueline.
"There were some very good games and the competition seemed to go on and on," said Blackburn Ladies Bowling League secretary Jacqueline Boardman.
Entries are being accepted for the Rita Blomeley Random Doubles competition to be played at Roe Lee on Saturday, May 15 - entries close on May 8.
