BLACKPOOL'S St Nicholas CE primary school has received top marks from education experts following an OFSTED report.
Inspectors, who had previously visited the school in March 1994, praised the teaching standards, particularly for the under fives, as well as the pupils' attitude.
According to the report, pupils were attaining levels well above national expectations in English, maths and science and staffing, school resources, and classrooms were said to be good.
Headteacher Linda Dawes said she was delighted with the high grades the school had achieved.
"The inspectors glowing remarks reflect the continuing hard work and commitment of pupils, staff, governors and parents," she said.
