I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree with the comments in Very Disillusioned Citizen's letter of April 15.
In fact, one of the best ways to stop your car being vandalised is to park it on a yellow line. It might cost you £25 but it is cheaper in the long run.
No doubt the excuse given was lack of resources, but we seem to have the most expensive traffic wardens in Leigh.
I'm referring to the two motorcycle policemen who hide behind the wall in Bengal Street waiting to pounce on cars that are parked, some of which belong to sick or infirm people that are attending the health centre.
An hour later they are seen hiding behind a tree on Holden Road operating a radar gun. While this was happening an articulated lorry was stuck negotiating the corner between Netto's car park and Shipleys Bingo Hall causing traffic problems which they should have been sorting out.
