IN response to A.H. Grundy (Journal Mailbox, April 22). How contradictory you protesters are (if there are any of you)!
It was stated in The Journal a couple of weeks ago that protesters did not oppose the new - very much needed - school being built, but objected because the land should be used as a 'Village Green'.
Are we now getting down to the real facts and seeing how selfish you people really are? You are denying our children a new school just because it will be too close to your homes.
What use is a 'Village Green' to us. We can't take our children to play on the 'field' as it is used by residents as a dog's toilet - it's filthy and unhygienic.
I bet it would be a different story if they had children that attended Chowbent.
Let me tell you A.H. Grundy and friends, we need the new school for our children and we will fight to ensure they get what they deserve.
