ECCLESTON CC's young team were overwhelmed by by a more experienced Vulcan outfit at Bobbies Lane on Saturday.
Batting first, Vulcan amassed 111 all out with top scorer being young Eddie Platt with 27. Other contributions came from Russhell 21 and R Kerfoot 17. Eccleston's outstanding bowling performance came from Karl Holden's unplayable leg spin. He finished with figures of 7-47 runs. Eccleston lumbered to 68 all out with top scorers being Holden 10, Connor, French and Gornal with nine each. Vulcans best bowler was Pritchard with 4-3 runs.
