A LEIGH mum is warning parents of the dangers of a giggling toy bear.
Julie Lowe, of North Lane, Astley, has called on Leigh Asda to withdraw the £9.99 toy from the shelves after she discovered daughter Bethany's mouth full of nylon hair.
Julie said: "The toy which has a tuft on its head giggles when you press its hand. I was going to buy one for my little girl and gave it to her to carry to the checkout.
"Between the shelves and till she must have put it in her mouth. When I looked her mouth was full. She could have choked.
"I complained about it at the time, but was surprised when I went in two days later to buy things for her second birthday party, to find them still there, and I pointed out the problem again.
"Although they have been passed and carry a CE label on them I still think they are dangerous and that parents should be warned.'
"All little children put things in their mouths and I feel these toys could be killers."
A spokesperson for Asda said the company would be dealing directly with the customer.
