THE residents of Bedford and Abram are being invited to have their say on plans for their local parks.
People in the vicinity of Bedford Park, Leigh, and Lee Lane Park, Abram, are to be consulted on draft ideas put together by local ward councillors and officers of the council's leisure services department.
The consultation will take the form of displays of the draft proposals at which questionnaires will be available for people to express their views.
A questionnaire will also be sent to a random sample of families who live close to the parks.
The display and questionnaires for Bedford Park will be located at both Leigh Library and Manchester Road Post Office until May 31.
For Lee Lane Park they will be located in Abram Library until May 31.
Parks and countryside manager, Malcolm Russell, said: "Both the ward councillors and the parks officers are anxious to provide what people want, but we cannot possibly know what that is unless they tell us.
"This is everyone's chance to have their say and we hope they will take the opportunity to influence the management of their own local facility."
