A BOMB scare stopped play at Sutton Cricket Club on Sunday, April 25, following a hoax phone call. Cricketers from the Billinge and Winwick teams were midway through the tea interval when a steward ordered them to leave the club in New Street. Police were called and after a search, play was resumed half-an-hour behind schedule at 5pm.
