THE NEWLY-formed St Helens and District Hard of Hearing Club has won two trophies at Hearing Concern's regional contests for lip reading and clear speaking.
The team of four (lip readers Mary Redmond and Norah Bowdler and clear speakers Emma Morris and Margery Dickinson) from St Helens were presented with the Foden Trophy for Best Club Effort.
And the Lytham Trophy was presented to Margery Dickinson who won the Hard of Hearing Clear Speech contest. Margery will represent the North West Federation of Hard of Hearing Clubs at Hearing Concern's National Final later this year.
