GOING for goals in more ways than one is Bury FC centre-half Chris Swailes.
He was a guest at an event to show local companies how to meet their business goals through Investors in People (IIP).
Recently, 13 Bury-based companies joined Bolton and Bury Chamber to find out how to get their work teams on the ball with IIP.
Ray Moss, quality manager at Investors in People company Verna Ltd, demonstrated how the best practice people programme has benefited his company.
He said: "Investors in People is a simple framework that ensures everybody in the organisation knows where the business is going and feels confident and able in making their own valuable contribution.
"Quite simply, it is a critical factor in modern day business."
Said Sue Warburton, workforce development adviser for the Chamber: "Football is a very good analogy for Investors in People because it's all about developing and involving your entire team in the pursuit of organisational goals."
