FORMER Clarets midfielder Nigel Gleghorn has been appointed as Witton Albion's new manager.
Gleghorn joined Unibond League champions-elect Altrincham when he left Turf Moor last summer.
But a re-shuffle at Moss Lane led to him joining Witton where he has been one of their top performers in the Unibond First Division this season.
The 36-year-old has now been handed his first chance in managment at the club where ex-Burnley boss John Bond is the director of football.
BURNLEY reserves entertain Manchester City at Turf Moor on Tuesday night with their fate in the Pontins League going to the last game of the season for the second year running.
Last season, the Clarets beat York City to clinch promotion and the Second Division title.
