WASN'T Colne a wonderful sight on St George's Day morning?
From Exchange Street you could look across to the magnificent Town Hall, with the Union Jack flag at the top, and in the foreground the three flagpoles with the Union Jack, the Lancashire Flag and the St George's Flag all flying in the stiff breeze - and the whole scene was bathed in spring sunshine.
But on the following day the whole thing was spoiled when the dreaded Euro flag was back.
