THREE students from Accrington and Rossendale College have been selected to test hardware products made by two national companies.
Michael Hoyle from Accrington, Stuart Fielding from Great Harwood, and Burnley-based Ian Proctor volunteered for the project as part of their construction courses.
The trio will be responsible for putting wallpaper and adhesives, made by Crown of Darwen, and UniBond of Cheshire, to the test before the products hit the market.
They will use the products before answering questions from top scientists from the two companies.
The construction centre at the college was recently upgraded by the Further Education Funding Council and made a Centre of Excellence in a UniBond sponsorship scheme.
Tutor Glenn Studholme said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for the college and its students to show the benefits of gaining experience at one of the best facilities in the country."
