RUGBY LEAGUE: Lancashire Lynx slumped to their sixth successive defeat when they went down 38-24 to Workington Town at Victory Park.
Once again Lynx played some excellent rugby, but indiscipline, especially from captain Dave Murray who was sin binned twice, cost them dear in the long run.
After the game Lynx coach Steve Hamspon said: "The team played some good football during the game, but basic errors in our own half caused tries to be conceded. "During the week the players worked hard on defence, but certain players struggle to get and across to cover. "The sin binning twice of captain Dave Murray cost three tries and if he had been on the field these would not have been scored and we would have won."
