ROLLS Royce reached the final of the President's Cup with a 1-0 win over Worsthorne, the only goal coming in the first half of a hard-fought game. This completes a double for Rolls who have reached both Cup Finals following their BEP Cup success against Whinney Hill.

For Worsthorne, the season which promised so much, looks like ending in so near and yet so far. Believe it or not the semi-final defeat by Rolls means that the club have lost 15 consecutive semi-finals in various Cup competitions.

Crosshills are one win from retaining their first division title following their 5-1 win over Oswaldtwistle. They need to win one of their two remaining home games against Gargrave and Settle Utd to leave Worsthorne as runners-up.

Whinney Hill clinched promotion from Division Two finishing runners-up to Chatburn after their final game win over Rock Rovers.

On Wednesday night Ribchester Rovers, the BEP Cup holders, meet Rolls Royce in the final at Worsthorne (kick off 6.30pm).
