A SILENT auction of pottery and glass was held to raise money for Hyndburn mayor's charity fund.
People were invited to Haworth Art Gallery, Accrington, for breakfast and the chance to bid for vases, dishes and figurines.
Rather than bid to an auctioneer, they wrote their names and bids on a board.
More than £8,600 has been raised on behalf of mayor and mayoress Coun Ian and Mrs Pat Ormerod over the past 12 months.
A charity committee has held various events and the main beneficiaries will be the Disabled Association for Sport in Hyndburn (DASH), Parents' Aid to the Handicapped (PATH) and Hyndburn Talking Newspaper.
