THE latest order for a filter firm is proving just the tonic.

Burnley-based Interfilta has had its national contract to supply filters to NHS hospitals extended for another 12 months.

NHS Supplies signed up Interfilta in 1997 as part of an £800,000 deal to service hospitals across England. Now the organisation has decided to extend the contract to August 2000.

The filters are used to ensure cleanliness in operating theatres and research laboratories.

"We are pleased to be associated with such an important and prestigious contract," said Interfilta marketing manager Norman White.
