POLICE launched a major search after a 12-year-old boy went missing from his home in Blackburn.
And the police and parents of Martin John Duguid are growing increasingly concerned for the safety of the youngster who has not been seen for two days.
Martin, a Queen's Park High School pupil, was last seen on Tuesday afternoon around 5pm when he left his home in Dalton Close, Audley.
Martin, who has never gone missing before, walked out of his home after a disagreement with his parents.
The youngster was wearing his school uniform which includes grey trousers and a blue blazer. He is 4ft 10in, slim, has blond hair cut in a wedge style, a pale complexion and blue-green eyes.
Police have already carried out door-to-door inquiries in the area and have spoken to teachers at Martin's school.
Acting Sergeant Carl Doherty said: "We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen Martin or knows of his whereabouts as soon as possible.
"The sooner Martin is returned to his home safe and sound the better it will be for all concerned."
Anyone who can help the police should contact Acting Sergeant Doherty on 01254 51212.
